We’ll need some basic information such as your lien holder’s address, fax, and account number as well as some basic information about your vehicle. Complete the form below to start the process. Once we receive your title we will send you a letter in the mail with further instructions.

Documents Required:

Original out-of-state title
Proof of Kentucky insurance
Kentucky Application for Certificate of Title/VTR (TC96-182)
Sheriff’s VIN inspection 1347 KY-185, Bowling Green, KY 42101
Driver’s license & Social Security number
Proof of prior state sales tax paid (if applicable)

Important Notes:

Must title and register within 15 days of moving into Kentucky.
Kentucky allows credit for usage tax paid to another state up to 6%.

Fees:

$9 title fee
6% road usage tax (credit given for prior state tax if applicable)
$21 registration state issued plate fee (fees may vary based on plate type)
$22 lien filing fee, if applicable
$15 Sheriff inspection fee
