First Time Applicants & Commission Renewals
To begin the notary process you must first apply through the Secretary of State. This applies to first-time applicants and current notaries who need to renew their commissions. After your application has been approved through the Secretary of State you will receive an email from them notifying you of your approval.
After you receive your approval email, you must obtain a $1,000 surety bond. Your bond will need to be valid through the commission dates that you were given from the Secretary of State. Visit their website for more details on bond requirements.
AFTER application approval and securing your bond, you will come to our office to finalize the process and obtain your new commission.
